We are seeking a BC/BE Advanced Heart Failure, Critical Care Cardiologist.

Chief Purpose of this position: The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Cardiology is seeking a BC/BE Cardiologist with training/experience in Advanced Heart Failure and/or Critical Care Medicine. The incumbent will join an established group of physicians and surgeons in one of the top Heart Centers in the United States. We are dedicated to building a preeminent program for academic discovery and are committed to excellent clinical care for our patients.
Position Responsibilities:
Teaching | To support teaching directly via interactions with medical students, residents, and fellows.In addition, will be expected to participate in University Continuing Medical Education programs for practicing physicians which is important to enhancing patient referrals.Research | To support clinical research protocols as needed.Service | Will be expected to participate in quality, safety, and efficiency initiatives.
Clinical | Will primarily be dedicated to coverage in the CICU along with noninvasive cardiology imaging.Other (for instance administrative duties, etc.) | Submit billing and document care as required by the organization.Abide by all medical staff requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Board certified/board eligible Cardiologist
- Communicate and work effectively within a large multidisciplinary program
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU
Preferred Qualifications:
- Interest, training and/or experience in the diagnosis, risk stratification and treatment of cardiovascular disease, critical care cardiology and expertise in Advanced Heart Failure
