Chief Purpose of this position: The Department of Radiology at VCU Health/MCV Physicians is currently seeking applicants for a full-time faculty position in the Division of Diagnostic Radiology, Section of Breast Imaging to provide specialized Breast Imaging interpretation including mammography (2D and 3D), US, MR and interventional procedures with state-of-the-art equipment. We work collaboratively with Massey Cancer Center in advancing awareness, diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer.
Position Responsibilities:
- Teaching – Provide training to medical students, residents and fellows, who rotate through the Department of Radiology.
- Research - Maintain professional relationships established with the VCU Massey Cancer Center to foster interdisciplinary research.
- Service – Time and effort is expected to be devoted to academic service-related activities. This shall include college, school, and departmental committee work, professional growth, and other such assignments.
- Clinical – Provide high quality, sub-specialized imaging interpretations for assigned modalities in support of the referring physicians and patients of VCUHS.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be ABR certified or have documentation of passing the Core Component of the ABR Board examination,
- Must be breast imaging fellowship trained
- The applicant must demonstrate experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.
- Candidate must be eligible for a Virginia medical license and for permanent employment in the USA.
